Badger
(Meles taxus)
This is the European badger, or brock, which dwells in the depths of the woods and comes out at night to feed on fruits, nuts, eggs, small birds and mammals, or even honeycomb and wasp grubs. The thick fur protects it from stings. The hair is stiff but fine-tipped, and is used for brushes.

Badgers often enjoy the company of their family group, and are highly teritorial. This has lead to a reputation for grumpyness, however mythology often interprets that for of valour or bravery
